Funville
The game

From one hole to a whole park

Funville is a cozy idle tycoon. A little mini golf course grows, one block at a time, into a whole adventure park, and it keeps growing for weeks.

How it plays

The same steps as the game's own How to Play guide.

  1. Tap to playTap a hole, or a stand, to start a round. When it finishes you earn cash. The first few minutes are all tapping.
  2. Level upOpen anything you own and buy levels. Each one earns more, and at every milestone its earnings double.
  3. Hire a MarshalA Marshal, or a stand's staff, plays rounds for you, forever, and keeps earning while you're away.
  4. Build moreNew holes, then the Snack Bar stands. Benches, planters and other Park items raise the Fun Rating, which lifts every hole.
  5. Buy the blocksThe lots across the street open new venues. Then the side streets, with the newest blocks on later laps of your Franchise.
  6. Follow the goalsThe goal bar at the top always shows a next step, and the Next button pans to the best thing to buy.
  7. FranchiseSell the park and open in a new town. You start over, but you keep your Stars, and each one adds to everything, for good.
  8. Come back oftenCollect your away earnings, claim the Daily Gift, play Putt of the Day, catch Golden Balls and meet the critters who visited.

Tap things in the park

Guests, staff, rides and blocks are all right there in the park, and you look after them by tapping them.

  • Tap a hole or a ride to run it, or let your staff run everything.
  • Twenty-three blocks have a Block Desk at the gate: one free tap runs every ride that is waiting.
  • A hole with a Marshal can call a Rush Hour for a short burst of extra earnings.
  • Now and then guests leave litter, a pickpocket sneaks in or a ride breaks down. Tap it to fix it, or hire Janitors, Security and Mechanics.
  • Press and hold a Marshal, a crew member or a ride's name to give them a name. Your guests use the names in what they say.
  • Press and hold on empty ground for Watch Mode: the buttons slip away and the camera drifts after a guest, a rolling ball or a critter.

Putt it yourself

Putt of the Day

One hole a day, the same for everyone, that you putt yourself. Touch anywhere, pull back and let go: a slim line shows the aim and power. Three shots pay hours of your park's earnings.

The Weekly Open

Nine holes a week, a new nine every Monday, and one round that counts. After the ninth hole you get a scorecard to share, a medal for gems and a Game Center score.

A ball that really rolls

It rolls straight, slows down, bounces off walls, climbs ramps and lips out if it reaches the cup too fast. Your golfers play each hole out, and a hole-in-one gets a cheer.

The Haunted Graveyard at night: lamps glowing over gravestones, bare trees and a crypt

A park that comes alive

  • Families wander the paths and line up for rides.
  • Day turns to golden dusk and lantern-lit night, and big moments get fireworks.
  • Passing rain showers: umbrellas pop up, the Arcade fills, then a rainbow. In snowy towns it snows instead.
  • Now and then a tour bus pulls up with a crowd of sightseers.
  • The empty land past your blocks grows into the town of Funville, with a small downtown beyond it, and deer, a fox and a stag at its edge.
  • A quiet sound in nearly every block when you zoom in: lapping water, a crowd, a campfire. The Sound switch turns them off.
  • Restore the Old Fairground: a carousel, a Ferris wheel, spinning teacups and a hot-air balloon.

Franchise to new towns

When your park is grown, sell it and open in a new town. You start again with a fresh park, and your Stars, gems, Collection Book and Looks come with you. Stars add to everything for good and buy perks in the Star Workshop.

Where it starts

Maple Grove

Your first town. Autumn trees, and farm fields out past the town.

Beach crowds

Sunny Shores

Palm trees and sand. The beach crowds love the Snack Bar, and the Pond Block comes free.

Icy greens

Snowy Peaks

Snowy pines, snow piles and sleds, and Santa hats on the T-Rex and the cows. Hole-in-ones pay far more on the icy greens, but holes play slower.

Desert heat

Canyon Springs

Cacti round the park. In the desert heat everything earns more, and Stars come faster.

Every town comes round again with new twists. Five lost balls hide round each one: find all five for a ball trail of its own.

Critters and the Collection Book

Things to meet, win and find, and most of them stay with you through every Franchise.

Critters

Critters drop by while you're away: 23 to meet, and the odd sparkly one. Tap one to say hi. Three visits make a friend.

  • Duck: paddles down the creek
  • Deer: tiptoes in when the park is quiet
  • Penguin: visits when there's snow about
  • Fireflies: glow over the lawn on summer nights
  • Friendly Ghost: floats by every October
  • Skater Cat: kick-turns about the skate park on a board of its own

The Collection Book

The Arcade's machines pay tickets, and the Prize Counter swaps them for plush prizes. The Prize Counter sells what you see, for tickets you earn.

Every prize you've ever won goes in the Collection Book. Each one adds a little to everything, and the book stays with you through every Franchise.

More to chase

  • Park Awards: big long-run goals, on a trophy shelf from Bronze up to Gold
  • Space Missions: send the Space Port's rocket away for souvenirs
  • The Park Almanac: how complete all your collections are
  • Looks: ball trails, putter colors, flags, hole-in-one shows and looks for Ace the mascot
  • Daily gifts that never reset, and achievements

The Weekly Cup and seasonal events

The Weekly Cup

A separate park each week, the same for everyone, with a twist. Earn as much as you can for Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum medals, and a Game Center score. VIP and other bonuses never count in the Cup, so it's fair for everyone, and it's real players only: no bots.

Twists include Windy Greens, Heatwave, Lucky Week, Bargain Week, Speedy Greens, Lazy Mornings and Glow Week, when the Cup's holes glow in the dark.

Seasonal events

Events all through the year bring decorations, things to find round the park and a plush to win.

New Year Glow, Sweetheart Putt, the Spring Egg Hunt, Bee Blossom Fest, Summer Splash, the Harvest Fair, Spooky Putt and Winter Wonderland.

Missed one? Fun Tokens buy an earlier event's plush in Memory Lane.

Together

Now and then everyone playing Funville works towards one big goal together, like so many hole-in-ones in a week. If everyone gets there, everyone who chipped in gets gems.
